AR Trophy

 Miss Madelyne set a tiny goal this year, well really it was not so tiny. Her goal was to read  100 books, take tests on them, and reach 75 reading points. 
She realized that she had two weeks left before the cut off date and she was 30 books shy of her goal. She was bound and determined to get that trophy, so we made a plan for her to reach her goal in those two weeks.
Miss Madelyne is a overachiever, and could not wait two weeks to finish. So she came up wit her own plan. She tested before and after school then went to the library for two day until she had finished reading all 30 books, I thought her brain was going to explode! Mrs. Showers could not believe she finished so fast, she was the fist in her class to reach 75 points!
Mads was so excited and happy with herself . As of today she has read (since December) 195 books and has earned 90.8 reading points. We are really proud of her for accomplishing her goal. Only two other kids in her class were able to get a trophy, and one of them was her dear friend Sydney, she was so happy for her too! (way to go Sydney!) It has been a great way to end her first grade year!
